SunKing Brewery — Passion Project

The craft brewery, headquartered in Indianapolis, caters to discerning consumers across a broad spectrum of establishments, encompassing a network of distinguished bars, restaurants, and liquor stores exceeding 1,000 locations throughout Indiana, Louisville, and Chicago.

I undertook the design of a novel packaging system for Sun King's Hard Seltzers, encompassing a carefully curated collection of three distinct Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) that adhere to unified conventions. The overarching objective of this redesign initiative is to entice liquor consumers seeking novel, invigorating, and delectable seltzer options.

Central to my approach was the infusion of a comparable level of character into the seltzer cans as is evident in Sun King's best-selling beer cans. The aim was to conceive a product that not only captivates the visual senses but also resonates with the competitive market landscape. Acknowledging that the initial design lacked a certain vibrancy and personal touch, thus failing to align harmoniously with the company's brand identity and existing packaging standards for other offerings, I embarked on enhancing the visual composition. By strategically incorporating captivating visual elements within the currently underutilized blank spaces, the overall aesthetic appeal of the packaging is heightened, rendering it more captivating and visually engaging.
